About the position

The MDM Engineer position within the Enterprise Data Organization at Freeman focuses on enhancing Data Engineering capabilities. This role involves designing and developing Master Data Management (MDM) solutions, collaborating with IT teams, and mentoring other engineers. The position emphasizes a cloud-first approach and requires critical thinking to deliver scalable and high-performance solutions that drive business impact. The MDM Engineer will also support data governance and ensure data quality through various processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and configure Profisee (or other) MDM solutions to meet business requirements
• Support and lead development of front and back end for Master Data Management solutions
• Troubleshoot system performance issues and propose improvements
• Maintain MDM solutions in production, including workflows, APIs, and UX/UI
• Collaborate with data stewards to define and enforce data governance policies
• Ensure data quality by developing and implementing data validation and cleansing processes
• Produce elegant and efficient designs and scalable code
• Implement MDM best practices
• Act as a technical advisor and subject matter expert for MDM projects
• Facilitate meetings and issue resolution
• Perform code walk-throughs and review test cases
• Provide input to MDM Lead regarding status of technical tasks
• Deliver MDM software solutions in line with requirements
• Participate in agile team activities to analyze and develop code data requirements
• Design ETL Flow based on specific use case requirements
• Develop data acquisition and ingestion processes
• Assist in building out data models with team members
• Develop and maintain ETL processes using tools like SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related analytical field preferred
• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in MDM implementations using Profisee or related MDM tools
• Strong software engineering background, particularly in SQL on AWS or equivalent Cloud Data Platform
• Experience designing/building MDM UX/UI, data models, and distribution layers
• Hands-on experience with MDM tools for analysis, design, development, integration, and testing
• Technical skills in C#, APIs, and workflow development
• Solid understanding of master data, data quality, and data stewardship concepts
• 2+ years of experience with DevOps model and Continuous Integration/Delivery processes
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Experience with Agile Scrum methodology

• Experience with Informatica or SAP MDG
• Knowledge of Azure ADF
