About the position

The Master Data Management Lead (MDM) will play a crucial role in large digital transformation initiatives, focusing on building and implementing MDM solutions. This position requires expertise in data governance and security, ensuring high-quality data management practices. The MDM Lead will also mentor team members and shape execution strategies throughout client engagements.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a MDM lead as part of large digital transformation journeys
  • Build MDM solutions, custom or using an MDM tool like Informatica, Reltio, Oracle MDM, IBM MDM
  • Act as a Data governance expert to ensure Data quality of the MDM solution
  • Act as a Data security expert to ensure secure, controlled access to MDM solution
  • Familiar with Data Mesh architectures and ability to provision MDM solutions as Data products in a Data Mesh architecture
  • Shape opportunities and create execution approaches throughout the lifecycle of client engagements
  • Ensure all deliverables are of high quality by setting development standards, adhering to the standards, and participating in code reviews
  • Mentor, support, and manage team members

Requirements

  • Proficiency in designing complex data models, including hierarchical, hub-and-spoke, and dimensional models
  • Hands-on experience with MDM tools like Informatica MDM, Reltio, IBM MDM, or Oracle MDM
  • Familiarity with different MDM implementation styles - Centralized, Registry, Consolidation, Coexistence
  • Understanding of data governance principles, data quality standards, and metadata management
  • Defining and enforcing data standards, such as naming conventions, data formats, and data types
  • Integrating data from various sources into the MDM hub using ETL processes
  • Enhancing master data with additional information, such as product specifications, customer preferences, or supplier ratings
  • Ensuring data consistency across different systems by synchronizing changes to master data records
  • Protecting sensitive master data through access controls, encryption, masking and other security measures
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP and their integration with MDM solutions
  • Understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI
  • Knowledge of API design for data integration and consumption with MDM
  • Previous experience in a similar role at a large scale
