About the position

The Master Data Manager is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely entry of reliable enterprise data. This role involves providing leadership and direction for daily activities, overseeing data maintenance requests, and establishing governance policies for data management in collaboration with cross-functional teams. The position also emphasizes talent development, continuous improvement initiatives, and strategic leadership in departmental processes.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure tools and resources are in place for accurate and timely entry of reliable enterprise data.
  • Provide overall leadership, supervision, and direction for daily activities to meet customer demand.
  • Oversee prioritization of data maintenance requests to meet internal and customer requirements while adhering to data governance standards.
  • Work closely with cross-functional business teams to establish governance policies and procedures for data management.
  • Promote talent development through coaching, mentoring, and coordination of resources.
  • Provide strategic leadership in the development of department processes, procedures, and reference documents.
  • Prioritize continuous improvement initiatives within the department and provide input for initiatives across the business.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to support strategic initiatives for improved customer service.
  • Provide system support for technology solutions utilized by the team and stakeholders.
  • Guide maintenance of ORBIS Quality System documents and work instructions related to Master Data.
  • Support department and business through change management initiatives.
  • Provide back-up support for specific functions throughout the department.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in data management and governance.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in developing and implementing processes and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
