About the position

We are on the hunt for a Master Data & Portfolio Analyst to join our Citrus Operational Excellence team at the freshly inaugurated Citrus Innovation Center located in Lakeland, Florida. As a Master Data & Portfolio Analyst, you will work under the instructions of the Innovation Director, Operational Excellence to maintain our Citrus Product Master data and analyze data to strategize and optimize the lifecycle and commercial performance of our citrus portfolios for raw materials, flavors & fragrance compounds. Your role supports a centralized management of our various product and technology portfolios, which includes identifying, prioritizing, authorizing, managing, and controlling projects to achieve our strategic citrus business objectives. You will support the development and implementation of strategies to support the day-to-day management of our citrus raw material portfolio and the sold flavor and fragrance portfolios. The goal is to maximize returns, increase portfolio flexibility, provide risk optimization, improve fund allocation while maintaining maximum customer return and competitivity in an industry where we must manage complexity to stay relevant. With a passion for Data Analysis and project follow up, you will work in a citrus dedicated team environment, hereby assisting our operational and innovation teams to optimize the existing product lines and successfully launch new products in the marketplace. Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain our Citrus Master data in corporation with all stakeholders throughout our Flavor and Scent organization.
  • Ensure consistency and adherence to data standards and naming conventions.
  • Assess and manage the status of obsolete materials.
  • Maintain comprehensive records and documentation related to material master data, including data change requests and approvals.
  • Collaborate with procurement and vendor management teams to ensure that vendor-related data, such as supplier codes and lead times, are correctly linked to material data.
  • Data mapping of the overall citrus market (raw materials, flavors, fragrances, ingredients).
  • Facilitate the Product Development Process for formula and non-formula material item creation and changes, such as up-scaling, facility changes, packaging selection etc.
  • Follow up on new product development through designated programs from start to completion.
  • Ensure vendor approved raw materials, global regulatory compliance, and all necessary documentation applicable to our master data are integrated into the required cross functional systems.
  • Work with stakeholders in technology, innovation, R D, NPD, regions, and business units to provide them with the various data sets they need to make informed decisions in their relevant disciplines.
  • Support the operational excellence team with data on forecasts, procurement, logistical coordination, material planning and inventory management.
  • Support the transition from descriptive analytics on historical data to predictive analytics using statistical models and machine learning.
  • Generate reports and analyze material data for trends, inconsistencies, or areas requiring improvement.
  • Follow up on the implementation of make-buy decisions.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
  • Ensure all activities are in line with IFF policies.

Requirements

  • A passion for data analysis and desire to learn the inner workings of the citrus industry.
  • Degree in Data Science, Business analytics or related disciplines.
  • A minimum of 2 years industry work experience, coupled with an ardent desire and ability to continue education, professional development, and growth.
  • Experience with SAP and SAP BW required, experience with SAP master data preferred.
  • Proficiency in power BI and Microsoft Office tools, including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Project management experience with the ability to multi-task projects, manage deadlines and align priorities.
  • Successful background of presenting analytical findings in a clear, concise, and easily understood manner to stakeholders and senior level executives.
  • Excellent understanding of system platforms, deployments, and solutions at the enterprise level.
  • Ability to collaborate with global departments including IT, Operations, Marketing and Sales.
  • Proven successful in fast-paced culture with an international footprint.
  • Well organized initiative-taker with desire to develop new skills.
  • Ability to strategize, analyze and solve complex, multi-layered problems.
  • Drive for results, taking ownership and not afraid to go the “extra mile.”
  • Excellent communication, relationship, and leadership skills. Additional languages desirable.
