About the position

The Master Database Analyst (SAP) position at Hubbell Incorporated is a pivotal role focused on enhancing the maturity of Master Data Management (MDM) and Supply Chain Health measures. This position is essential in ensuring that the team is well-prepared for the implementation of new initiatives and improvements, particularly in the utilization of SAP systems and adherence to established standards. The analyst will manage the maturity of business processes and MDM disciplines in SAP, ensuring that all supply chain functions meet Hubbell's satisfactory standards. In this role, the analyst will lead efforts to address underperforming disciplines by defining actionable improvement plans and tracking their timely execution to meet organizational objectives. The analyst will also oversee the communication and coordination of new measures, ensuring that training is provided as organizational changes occur. Participation in corporate meetings related to MDM projects and data management changes is also a key responsibility. The analyst will create detailed project plans that outline clear action owners and support the necessary changes for improvement. Collaboration with various site functional areas, including Buyers, Planners, and Operations, is crucial to ensure that all training is completed, standards are adhered to, and additional support is provided to enhance maturity. The role also involves maintaining effective communication and fostering teamwork among peers, ensuring adherence to all Supply Chain Management (SCM) and MDM processes with a focus on achieving maturity model success. Regular auditing of site data, transactions, and documents will be required to ensure compliance with established standards, alongside performing root cause analysis of system issues and implementing corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Manage maturity of Business Process & MDM disciplines in SAP according to Hubbell standards
• Ensure all Supply chain disciplines are at a satisfactory standard level
• Lead efforts for underperforming disciplines to define actions for improvement and track actions to be delivered on time to meet objectives
• Overall oversight to ensure all new measures have been communicated, coordinated and training occurs as organizational change occurs
• Attend Corporate HUS meetings as needed for MDM projects or data management changes
• Create project plans with clear action owners, actions and support change for improvement
• Coordinate with all site functional areas to ensure all actions are completed on time as per schedule
• Collaborate with other site project leads and Hubbell Materials team for support and continuous improvement
• Coordinate with Buyers, Planners, Operations, etc. to ensure all training is complete, standards are followed, and provide additional support to improve maturity
• Oversee responsibility of MDM and Supply Chain disciplines to standards
• Support requests and actions items from other departments as required
• Maintain effective communications and foster teamwork with peers
• Assure adherence to all SCM Business & MDM processes with focus on maturity model success
• Maintain site Master Data elements according to guidelines
• Audit site data, transactions, and documents to ensure achieved standards are maintained
• Perform root cause system issues and implement corrective actions.

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain or business related field; or a combination of education and experience in lieu of degree
• Experience in a supply chain function
• Strong proficiency in SAP, Oracle and/or other ERP system functionality
• 2 years' experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• 1 year experience in project management preferred
• Experience with commonly used concepts and practices across all Supply Chain functions
• Ability to seek/gather information from cross functional teams
• Demonstrated strong collaboration with peers
• Demonstrated ability to communicate cross functionally and globally
• Strong attention to detail
• Proficient Program Management capabilities preferred
