The Master Electrician at Mountainland Technical College is responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems and components in industrial equipment and machines. This role requires strict adherence to electrical manuals, codes, and diagrams, utilizing both hand and power tools, as well as test and electrical equipment. The Master Electrician will work primarily in Lehi, UT, and is expected to maintain a collaborative and positive work culture while ensuring safety and compliance in all electrical duties. Key responsibilities include installing and maintaining electrical components such as power supply, conduit, wiring, controls, relays, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), solar arrays, distribution networks, breakers, switches, and motor contactors. The electrician will troubleshoot and replace faulty electrical elements, including motors, relays, and switches, and will also diagnose and correct malfunctioning electronic units. Additionally, the role involves managing contractors for electrical duties and organizing safe maintenance principles to regulate and schedule breakdowns effectively. The position requires a valid driver’s license issued by the state of Utah and the ability to obtain forklift driver certification during employment.
