About the position

The Master Level Community Support Specialist III at BJC Independence Center is responsible for providing community support services to individuals recovering from serious mental illness. This role focuses on maximizing opportunities for clients by utilizing treatment plan interventions tailored to individual strengths and needs. The position involves working closely with clients, documenting services, and supporting individuals in crisis situations, all while fostering a restorative environment that promotes recovery and independence.

Responsibilities

• Provides community support services to complex clients, utilizing treatment plan interventions for positive outcomes.
• Completes timely documentation of services, detailing the need for service, interventions provided, and client responses.
• Contacts individuals or referral sources after missed appointments to re-engage clients and promote recovery efforts.
• Supports individuals in crisis situations, providing necessary assistance and guidance.
• Mentors and provides job shadowing to community support colleagues.
• Assists clinical teams with qualified mental health provider support, including service access assessments.
• Completes annual assessments and other required documentation for clients.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Human Services or a related field.
• 2-5 years of relevant experience.
• Licenses: Class D (IL) or Class E (MO).
