About the position
Piper Companies is looking for a Master Linux System Administrator to join a government contractor, working onsite in San Diego, CA. An active secret clearance is required for consideration. This is a contract to hire opportunity with a great client that is looking to move quickly!
Responsibilities
- Provide guidance for directing/monitoring information systems
- Install, configure and maintain Linux operating systems
- Analyze network traffic and provide capacity planning solutions
- Monitor and respond to hardware, software and network problems
- Manage the purchase, testing, installation, and support of network communications, including LAN/MAN/WAN systems
Requirements
- Bachelors in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related field is required
- 6+ years relevant technical experience required
- Security + cert required
- Minimum Secret clearance required with ability to obtain Top Secret
