About the position

The Master Linux System Administrator will be responsible for managing and supporting the organization's network systems, ensuring availability and security. This role involves hands-on installation, configuration, and maintenance of local and wide area networks, as well as monitoring network performance and security measures. The position is primarily onsite in San Diego with one day of remote work per week.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and support the organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and Internet systems.
• Monitor network to ensure availability to all system users and perform necessary maintenance to support network availability.
• Assist in network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software.
• Administer network security measures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 4 years of experience, or an Associate's degree and 6 years of experience, or 8 years of experience without a degree.
• Minimum of Secret security clearance (Top Secret preferred).
• Strong Linux experience.
• Security+ Certification required.
