About the position

The Master Resilience Trainer - Performance Expert (MRT-PE) role involves supporting government clients by teaching mental skills, resilience, and performance enhancement techniques to military personnel, their families, and Department of Army civilians. MRT-PEs conduct training in both group and individual settings, focusing on developing mental and emotional strength necessary for high performance in demanding environments. The position requires collaboration with military units to enhance performance psychology and facilitate the transition of Wounded Warriors back to their units or civilian life.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitates collaborative learning discussions during table exercises.
  • Attends training exercises and field operations as a performance enhancement consultant.
  • Provides tailored educational programs and workshops for Families and Civilians.
  • Recommends improvements to program operations.
  • Performs routine program operational duties.
  • Conducts assessments and supports research projects.
  • Assists in providing program overview briefings to VIPs and leaders.
  • Develops and maintains professional development in performance enhancement.

Requirements

  • Full certification within the program.
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Psychology or Kinesiology with a focus on sport and/or performance psychology.
  • Ability to operate general office equipment.
  • Strong communication skills for in-person and telephone interactions.
  • Experience working under time pressure and meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to travel as needed and adhere to travel policies.
  • Ability to enter private homes and transport self to various locations.
  • Physical capability to perform active tasks, including lifting up to 40 lbs.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and perform under stress.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and customer contact expertise.
