About the position

The Master Scheduler is responsible for overseeing the development, preparation, and maintenance of the company's master project schedule and production. This role involves leading a team of Production Planners/Schedulers, managing capacity levels, and ensuring job readiness across various departments before production begins. The Master Scheduler will utilize ERP systems and planning software to maintain schedules and report on performance metrics.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the development, preparation, and maintenance of the company's master project schedule and production.
• Lead and develop a team of 3+ Production Planners/Schedulers.
• Establish, measure, monitor, and adjust capacity levels to execute all manufacturing and engineering design schedules.
• Determine job readiness in all areas including engineering, material status, and production capacity prior to starting a project in production.
• Utilize ERP systems, planning and scheduling software, or other database tools to develop and maintain master schedules and production.
• Interpret and follow written directions, blueprints, and engineering diagrams.
• Establish KPIs and report performance to the production plan.
• Engage in capacity management during sales and operations planning, master scheduling, materials requirements planning, and production activity control.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Discipline or Supply Chain
• 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment
• 2 years experience managing a planning team
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects with a high level of detail and accuracy
• Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with SAP
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project and Excel
• Knowledge of manufacturing engineering, project engineering, and production scheduling
• Experience in low volume production and wiring schemes
