About the position

The Henry & Rilla White Youth Foundation is seeking a masters-level counselor to provide mental health and substance abuse therapy services to youth referred by the Department of Juvenile Justice and the Columbia County School System. The role involves screening, evaluating, treating, and managing cases, with flexibility in scheduling and the option to work virtually on a case-by-case basis. Counselors will receive comprehensive training in Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and will participate in weekly clinical supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide mental health or substance abuse therapy services based on individualized risks, treatment needs, and strengths of youth.
• Complete a Treatment Plan and a monthly review of the Treatment Plan.
• Complete a Progress Report and monthly summary note.
• Attend weekly supervision meetings in person, by phone, or via SKYPE with a licensed supervisor.

Requirements

• Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in counseling, social work, psychology, mental health counseling, marriage and family therapy, or a related field.
• Training and experience in Cognitive-Behavioral therapy, structural family therapy, and other behaviorally-based treatments are preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in Child & family counseling.
