About the position
The Data Architect role is focused on designing and implementing data solutions that leverage cloud technologies and big data frameworks. The position requires extensive experience in data architecture, data modeling, and hands-on coding skills to develop robust data pipelines and visualization tools. The architect will work with various Azure services and cloud-based solutions to ensure efficient data integration and management.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement data architecture solutions using Azure services.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines using Python, SQL, and PySpark.
- Create data models and design data warehouses to support business intelligence.
- Utilize Tableau for data visualization and reporting.
- Integrate data from various sources using ETL/ELT processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
Requirements
- 12-15+ years of experience in data architecture and related fields.
- Expertise with Databricks and hands-on coding skills in Python, SQL, and PySpark.
- Experience with Azure services including Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure Data Lake Gen2.
- Strong knowledge of data warehouse design and data modeling principles.
- Proficiency in cloud-based data solutions, specifically with Snowflake and AWS services.
Nice-to-haves
- Familiarity with Big Data technologies and distributed computing frameworks such as Hadoop and Spark.
