The Materials & Material Acquisition Manager is a pivotal role focused on enhancing materials management and operational effectiveness. This position involves collaboration with senior management and program teams to ensure a continuous supply of quality components while meeting government customer expectations. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of leading a team in a fast-paced environment, emphasizing training and development.

Responsibilities

• Leads initiative to ensure continuity of supply throughout the operation to achieve uninterrupted supply of quality components and assemblies.
• Works closely with program and government stakeholders to achieve operational objectives in cost, quality, delivery, and inventory.
• Develops skills through experience and training to become the subject matter expert in all areas of responsibility.
• Deploys demand-driven materials strategy, processes, and tools that support operational excellence.
• Leads and improves analytics, processes, and procedures that drive continuous change and improvements.
• Coaches and mentors the materials team to improve engagement with key stakeholders.
• Organizes and prioritizes work assignments to complete tasks on time and with quality.
• Assumes responsibility for defining resource needs and works within budget and staffing parameters.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and at least 4 years of related experience.
• Ability to identify and resolve conflict.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Attentive to detail.
