About the position

The position provides basic administrative work processes, technical knowledge, and direction to promote Fluor's competitiveness within the global marketplace. The role focuses on delivering quality services of unmatched value and technical competence, serving as a Discipline Material Control on assigned projects or reporting to Discipline Lead Material Controllers on complex projects.

Responsibilities

  • Provide basic administrative work processes and technical knowledge.
  • Serve as a Discipline Material Control on assigned projects.
  • Promote Fluor's competitiveness by delivering quality services.
  • Provide procurement and expediting support in conformance with project requirements.
  • Keep the Project Discipline Engineer/Material Control Manager informed of the status of materials.
  • Give input to project forecasting.
  • Read and interpret Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and other discipline drawings.

Requirements

  • Basic understanding of the development of project estimates and project baselines.
  • Basic understanding of project execution including Change Management and its effects on material quantities.
  • Ability to read and interpret Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and manufacturer's catalog data.
