About the position

The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) has a need for a Material Coordinator - Material Handling Equipment (MHE) to support our government customer located in Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. This position involves various responsibilities related to Material Handling/Lifting Device asset management, including tracking, maintenance scheduling, and inspections. The coordinator will be responsible for maintaining both hard copy files and an electronic database of equipment, ensuring compliance with OSHA, NIOSH, and ANSI standards, and supporting customer service excellence.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Material Handling/Lifting Device asset tracking and yearly maintenance scheduling.
• Manage repair orders and data collection for equipment.
• Perform load tests and repairs on Material Handling/Lifting Devices.
• Maintain a database of equipment data including make, model, and year.
• Follow internal and external procedures/SOPs and understand ARMY & DoD Regulations.
• Input and track monthly reports from third-party vendors.
• Perform on-site inspections of Material Handling/Lifting Devices and document findings.
• Assist with proper labeling of devices including due dates and identifiers.
• Support customer schedules for repairs and annual requirements.
• Maintain records for accountability and audit standards.
• Deliver excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
• Identify safety concerns and report to Supervisor and stakeholders.
• Assist in maintaining accurate files and provide documentation as needed.
• Ensure all administrative functions are completed on time and in the required format.
• Maintain a clean and safe worksite while performing job duties.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of MHE experience and an Associate of Arts Degree, or an active CLASS C Driver's License.
• Minimum of 4 years of MHE experience and a High School Diploma/GED, or an active CLASS C Driver's License.
• Served in the US Military with a Logistics - Military Occupation Specialty (MOS) in a related capacity for a minimum of 3 years, and an active CLASS C Driver's License.
