About the position
The Material Coordinator role in Elkridge, MD, is a contract position focused on managing the flow of materials, parts, and assemblies in accordance with production and shipping schedules. The coordinator will be responsible for maintaining factory orders, identifying shortages, and coordinating with various departments to ensure timely production and delivery.
Responsibilities
- Expedite flow of materials, parts, and assemblies within or between departments according to production and shipping schedules.
- Maintain factory orders and update them as necessary.
- Assist in determining possible and actual shortages and initiate corrective actions.
- Use knowledge of production, procurement, and engineering to alert authorities about potential problems and recommend remedial actions.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in Production Control.
- Ability to lift 30-50 lb. hardware.
- Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain Secret Security Clearance.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in SAP ERP System.
- Experience in GOLD Gov't Tracking System.
- Active Secret Security Clearance.
- Bachelor's Degree.
