About the position

Kemper is one of the nation's leading specialized insurers, and we are seeking a Material Damage Claims Product Analyst to join our team. This position is crucial in supporting key strategic claims initiatives across the Property and Casualty (P&C) Claims organization. Under minimal supervision, the analyst will work collaboratively with colleagues, field and desk leaders, and outside vendors to develop, plan, and track programs and projects that assess the cost and benefits of workflows and improvements. The role requires a deep understanding of the P&C Claims business to identify and evaluate opportunities that align with the strategic goals of the organization. The analyst will be responsible for supporting the execution of the claims process improvement program, which includes coordinating the creation of Best Practices, conducting monthly metric analyses, and performing ad-hoc reviews and diagnostics as needed. Additionally, the analyst will coordinate pilot initiatives and vendor relationships to create comprehensive Cost/Benefit Analyses of innovative options. Participation in periodic reviews and updates to Best Practices, Guidelines, Playbooks, Scripts, and supporting workflows is also a key responsibility, requiring collaboration with field teams. This role demands the ability to maintain confidential and trust-based relationships within the organization while effectively elevating issues and concerns. The analyst will need to stay informed about market challenges and trends, working with internal business partners to address these trends regularly. Furthermore, the analyst will develop and interpret business data from multiple vendor platforms and assist in building dashboards to assess performance, ensuring that the claims organization meets its strategic goals and business initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop understanding of the P&C Claims business to support key claim projects with metrics.
  • Support and report on the execution of the claims process improvement program, including coordination of Best Practice creation and monthly metric analysis.
  • Coordinate pilot initiatives and vendor relationships to create Cost/Benefit Analysis of innovation options.
  • Participate in and co-lead periodic reviews and updates to Best Practices, Guidelines, Playbooks, Scripts, and supporting workflows.
  • Provide consistent support for vision casting for the claims organization and leadership on strategic goals and business initiatives.
  • Maintain confidential and trust-based relationships within the organization while elevating issues and concerns appropriately.
  • Understand challenges/trends in the market and work with internal business partners to address these trends regularly.
  • Develop and interpret business data from multiple vendor platforms and assist in building dashboards to assess performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required or equivalent of 3 working years in Claims, specific to Material Damage.
  • Knowledge of specific programs such as CCC One, I-CAR, Car-Part Pro, PartsTrader, and Guidewire.
  • Strong business acumen and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to work across all levels of the organization and manage competing priorities.
  • Emerging understanding of data analytics and ability to synthesize large quantities of data.
  • Proven organization and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong Microsoft skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Windows.
