About the position

The Material Distribution Center (MDC) Supervisor at Lockheed Martin is responsible for managing a team across various warehouse functions, including stockroom operations, packaging, shipping/receiving, and government equipment storage. The role focuses on achieving quality, cost, and schedule goals while ensuring compliance with security processes. The supervisor will foster a culture of continuous improvement and support operational excellence initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of employees across multiple warehouse functions.
• Oversee stockroom, packaging area, shipping/receiving docks, and government equipment storage.
• Ensure quality, cost, and schedule goals are met.
• Oversee security processes within the area and drive compliance.
• Communicate proactively with Program Managers to remove roadblocks.
• Properly staff and execute workload in the MDC.
• Foster a culture of Continuous Improvement and drive the 6S environment.
• Support the Operations Excellence Team (OET) and participate in Corrective Action Boards (CAB).

Requirements

• Appropriate degree from an accredited college or equivalent experience/combined education.
• Advanced understanding of inventory principles and warehouse management.
• Extensive experience in SAP and familiarity with main inventory transaction codes (MD04, MB51, LS24, CO03, etc.).

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with Material Management and Accounting System (MMAS) requirements.
• Experience with EPDM, Solumina, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to build effective relationships with employees, MPMs, peers, and other stakeholders.
• Experience leading a team and tracking performance to quality, schedule, and cost.
• Familiarity with 6S principles and best practices.
• Experience with logistics, international shipping, and ITAR.
• Demonstrate Full Spectrum Leadership qualities.
