About the position

The Material Handler position at Cornerstone Building Brands involves the fabrication and production of component parts for window assembly. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient operation of the production line, requiring physical stamina and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The position is full-time, primarily on the 1st shift, and includes responsibilities such as operating machinery, performing repetitive tasks, and maintaining a clean workspace.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and produce component parts for window assembly.
• Perform repetitive workstation operations to mass-produce windows, doors, and glass units.
• Support window operations in delivering, wrapping, loading, and unloading materials or windows.
• Use hand or power tools, saws, welders, or routers for workstation functions.
• Understand and carry out verbal instructions and read simple written instructions.
• Read work orders, labels, and schedules accurately.
• Inspect products for defects and make fraction and decimal conversions as needed.
• Operate necessary equipment to perform job functions.
• Provide on-the-job training to new employees.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Forklift experience is required.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks.
• Good attitude and team-oriented mindset.
• Dependable and energetic with flexibility to work day or night shifts and weekends if needed.
• Mechanically inclined with overhead crane experience preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience in a similar role is a plus.
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
