About the position
The Material Handler position at Aerotek involves working in a stockroom environment for a medical components and hearing aid manufacturing company. The role focuses on packaging, shipping, and inventory management, requiring physical activity and the ability to operate electric forklifts and pallet jacks. The position is fast-paced and requires a self-starter who can work independently, with opportunities for advancement within the company.
Responsibilities
- Locate and pack materials for shipping.
- Verify the accuracy of quantity and quality of incoming deliveries.
- Assist with cycle counting under the direction of the Material Lead or Material Supervisor.
- Maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory.
- Work in a team-based, cross-functional environment to complete kitting and delivery tasks as assigned by the Lead or Supervisor.
- Assist the Lead or Supervisor in daily shipping of products to internal and external customers using UPS, FedEx, or DHL shipping software.
Requirements
- Ability to use computers for basic data entry and 10-key operations, and Outlook.
- 1 year or more of order picking or inventory experience.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with warehouse software.
- Skills in order picking, packing, and kitting.
- Experience in shipping and receiving.
- Ability to operate an electric pallet jack.
