The Material Handler position at Structural Concepts Corp. involves managing the movement and preparation of materials for assembly and shipping. This role is essential for maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring that production processes run smoothly. The position requires dependability, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, particularly during the 2nd or 3rd shifts.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for picking assembly kits and preparing material carts for assembly.
- Accurately complete cycle counts.
- Update inventories with bar-code transactions or data entry.
- Ability to move a variety of parts, materials, assemblies, and finished goods using a variety of conveyance equipment.
- Prepare finished goods for shipping, which may include packing and/or crating.
- Ensure cleaning of machine and 5S of work area are completed daily.
Requirements
- Dependable with a strong work ethic.
- Highly skilled at reading blueprints and experience using measuring instruments.
- Ability to lift/carry up to 25 lbs frequently and 50 lbs occasionally.
- Perform the job safely while adhering to company safety standards.
- 1 year of experience in materials handling.
