About the position
The Material Handler is responsible for managing the flow of materials in and out of production areas, ensuring efficient order fulfillment and maintaining a clean working environment. This role requires the safe operation of material handling equipment, including forklifts, and involves various tasks related to inventory control and production schedules.
Responsibilities
- Place produced components in proper storage areas.
- Retrieve and return produced components as required per production schedules.
- Maintain a clean and neat working area.
- Safely and correctly use all material handling and inventory control equipment (i.e. fork truck, pallet truck, etc.).
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English is required.
- Forklift and fork truck experience.
- Ability to perform order fulfillment tasks efficiently.
- Experience in a distribution center is preferred.
- Experience working in a fast-paced order filling environment is preferred.
