The position involves loading and unloading trucks, as well as receiving, checking, storing, counting, and distributing inventory of various types in accordance with established systems, procedures, and methods. The role is essential in maintaining a safe and positive work environment that complies with OSHA, company standards, and local, state, and federal requirements. The employee will perform tasks necessary to meet warehouse goals and accurately complete all necessary paperwork related to inventory management. Daily responsibilities include managing day-to-day inventory levels, maintaining forklift certification, and conducting periodic inventories. The employee will trace the history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records, recommending remedial actions to management to resolve these discrepancies. Timely execution of daily receiving and shipping load boards is crucial, overseeing the receipt of purchased goods, verifying counts and quality, and completing all required paperwork and transactions associated with this process. The position also requires stacking and arranging products on pallets, completing forklift and pallet jack inspections before each shift, and replenishing stock while maintaining a clean and organized warehouse location daily. The employee will move products in the warehouse as necessary during reallocations of space or inventory taking, rotate products, and arrange them according to Julian dates or FIFO (first in, first out) principles. Additionally, the employee will receive and check incoming products against receiving documents, ensuring proper product codes, quantities, and conditions, while reporting any discrepancies to the lead. The role involves operating electric forklifts and pallet jacks, working in and out of freezers with temperatures averaging between 32 degrees to -25 degrees. General support of production is also expected, along with adherence to employee safety responsibilities, including reporting all injuries, unsafe conditions, and unsafe acts, using proper lifting techniques, and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Compliance with Food Safety standards such as GMP's, SSOP, SOP, HACCP, SQF, and Quality requirements is mandatory.
