About The Position

The Material Handler position at Conagra Brands involves supporting the stacking crew in assembling orders and managing the movement of products within the facility. This role is essential for ensuring efficient operations on the 3rd shift, focusing on the safe handling and transportation of materials using forklifts and manual labor.

Requirements

• Forklift Certification
• Ability to work in varying temperatures
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand and sit for up to 12 hours
• Ability to communicate in English (read, write, speak)

Responsibilities

• Assist stacking crew in assembling orders by moving product around on the dock, stacking cases, and stretch wrapping.
• Deliver and return packaging supplies to and from the packaging room and document amounts.
• Use forklift to move materials, help unload trucks, and move fiber to and from storage for printing.
• Transport product to and from truck staging.
• Ensure trailer hook (Dok Lok) is engaged or that trailer wheels are choked before loading/unloading.
• Put ramp in place and change lights to indicate whether or not trailer is hooked/choked.
• Load and unload trailers, sometimes manually.
• Fasten stacking aids to incoming product and remove from outgoing product.
• Transport fiber and other materials throughout the plant and accessory buildings.
• Complete paperwork concerning operation of forklift.
• Change battery in truck and follow proper battery room procedures.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
