About the position
The Material Handler position at Sanoh America, Inc. involves the safe and accurate loading and unloading of trucks, as well as the transportation and storage of materials throughout the facility. This role is essential for supporting production processes and ensuring timely shipments while adhering to safety and inventory control procedures.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the safe unloading of inbound trucks and/or loading of outbound trucks while maintaining accurate inventory transactions in the inventory control system.
- Supports the production department by ensuring necessary products and materials are available for production, delivering dunnage, and removing finished products for shipment.
- Maintains a safe and accurate staging and storage area for raw materials and finished goods by performing proper 5S procedures.
- Reads, understands, and adheres to all job instructions for any production process for which the associate has been qualified or trained.
Requirements
- Effective communication skills
- Basic math skills
- Time management skills; ability to prioritize work tasks
- Basic reading and writing skills
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions, procedures, and policies
- Understanding and adherence to company policies and safety procedures, specifically the ability to pass forklift safety and obtain a license
- Ability to use a handheld Radio Frequency (RF) system
- Solid computer skills, specifically the ability to use the inventory control system.
