Responsibilities
- Move and install heavy sub-assemblies and final assemblies using a crane or lift.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area both inside and outside the shop.
- Follow production drawings, sample assemblies and verbal instructions.
- Interpret and work from drawings, work instructions and bills of material to understand the required parts and steps needed to complete the assigned assembly.
- Unload purchased and outplant components from trucks, verify parts and counts and sign packing lists, move to their appropriate storage locations.
- Move sub-assemblies and final assemblies to store in their appropriate locations.
- Use, maintain, and put back in the proper place the tools called out for each operation.
- Troubleshoot and rework defects on final assemblies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience in using heavy cranes and lift equipment
- Clear understanding of mechanical hardware (wrenches, screwdrivers, power tools, etc.) and proper methods
- Basic level knowledge of blueprints and Bill of Materials
- Requires ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
- Must be available for overtime weekdays and Saturdays as needed.
