Based in San Diego and Chicago, the company produces Made-in-America products with the mission to Lead the World to Clean Mobility. As a Material Handler your responsibilities will be:

Responsibilities

  • Move and install heavy sub-assemblies and final assemblies using a crane or lift.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area both inside and outside the shop.
  • Follow production drawings, sample assemblies and verbal instructions.
  • Interpret and work from drawings, work instructions and bills of material to understand the required parts and steps needed to complete the assigned assembly.
  • Unload purchased and outplant components from trucks, verify parts and counts and sign packing lists, move to their appropriate storage locations.
  • Move sub-assemblies and final assemblies to store in their appropriate locations.
  • Use, maintain, and put back in the proper place the tools called out for each operation.
  • Troubleshoot and rework defects on final assemblies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience in using heavy cranes and lift equipment
  • Clear understanding of mechanical hardware (wrenches, screwdrivers, power tools, etc.) and proper methods
  • Basic level knowledge of blueprints and Bill of Materials
  • Requires ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
  • Must be available for overtime weekdays and Saturdays as needed.
