About The Position

The Material Handler, Retail position at Goodwill of Colorado involves working in a production environment to manage the movement, storage, and retrieval of donated products. The role focuses on meeting productivity standards, ensuring efficient operations, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Employees will use various equipment and tools to facilitate the handling of materials and will be expected to adhere to safety and company policies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in storage, moving, or shipping/receiving is helpful.
  • Ability to obtain walkie stacker and/or forklift certification.
  • High attention to detail and decision-making ability.
  • Ability to withstand prolonged standing, bending, and lifting for up to 8 hours per day.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and use a dolly and pallet jack as required.
  • Ability to work a varied schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with process automation.
  • Strong communication skills with customers and team members.

Responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed minimum productivity standards and expectations for assigned duties.
  • Use and become certified on equipment such as pallet jacks, walkie stackers, and forklifts to move and store donated products.
  • Ensure production areas have sufficient materials to minimize downtime.
  • Prepare materials or storage containers proactively for the production team.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness in the warehouse and trailers.
  • Prepare items for shipment and track products received and shipped.
  • Ensure work areas are clear and organized, adhering to safety requirements.
  • Complete duties accurately, safely, and timely to prevent damage to items.
  • Promote positive teamwork and cooperation among staff.
  • Adapt to and use technology for efficient operations.
  • Cross-train and work in other areas as assigned.
