About the position
The Material Handler/Forklift Operator position involves operating forklifts to efficiently move products and materials within a fast-paced distribution center in Wilmington, IL. The role emphasizes safety, attention to detail, and the ability to perform heavy lifting as required. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various warehouse tasks, including inventory management and documentation preparation.
Responsibilities
- Accurately transfer product/parts into and/or out of warehouse locations.
- Move products throughout the facility with powered industrial equipment.
- Perform inventory counts as required.
- Read, interpret, and accomplish WMS reports, recognizing and correcting potential process errors.
- Pull orders accurately as assigned and stage orders according to carrier location.
- Prepare receiving/storage/shipping documentation, retaining product accountability throughout the logistical process.
- Follow location and work center safety and security policies and procedures.
- Perform housekeeping duties and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 1 year of Forklift experience (Required)
- 1 year of Warehouse experience (Required)
- 1 year of Computer skills (Required)
- Valid Forklift Certification (Required)
- High school diploma or GED (Preferred)
- Ability to lift 40-60 lbs.
