About the position

The Material Handler/Forklift Operator is responsible for operating forklifts and other heavy machinery to efficiently move products within the warehouse, ensuring the orderly production and distribution of goods. This role involves maintaining inventory, preparing finished stock for shipment, and adhering to safety regulations in a smoke-free facility.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and heavy machinery to move products within the warehouse.
• Load and unload trucks with products.
• Pull orders from inventory and deliver production materials and supplies as needed.
• Stage finished products for final distribution.
• Maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and keeping materials and supplies in stock.
• Record the location of inventory and report shortages.
• Locate and pack materials for shipping based on production orders.
• Prepare finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, loading, and securing products.
• Document product shipments by recording units shipped.
• Complete pre-use inspections on material-handling equipment.
• Keep inventory, loading areas, and machinery clean.
• Adhere to workplace safety regulations.

Requirements

• Pass background checks and drug screening.
• Minimum 1 year of forklift experience.
• Ability to walk, stand, reach, bend, and lift 50lbs independently.
