About the position

The Material Handler/Grease Packaging Operator at Cenergy International plays a crucial role in the efficient management of materials within the warehouse environment. This position is primarily responsible for receiving, storing, and issuing materials, equipment, and other items from the stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard. The operator will engage in various tasks that ensure the smooth operation of the warehouse, including counting stock items, recording data, and maintaining accurate inventory records. The role requires a keen attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, often under varying temperature conditions. In this position, the operator will be expected to pack and unpack items for stocking, verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts, and investigate any discrepancies. Proper storage methods must be determined based on turnover rates and environmental factors, ensuring that items are stored in an orderly and accessible manner. The operator will also be responsible for marking stock items using identification tags and maintaining cleanliness in the storage areas to comply with safety regulations. Additionally, the Material Handler/Grease Packaging Operator will examine stock items for wear or defects and report any damage to supervisors. The role may involve providing assistance or direction to other workers in the stockroom or warehouse, making effective communication and teamwork essential. The operator must be adaptable, as the schedule includes day and night shifts, with the possibility of overtime and weekend work. Responsibilities

  • Receive and count stock items, and record data manually or using a computer.
  • Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards.
  • Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors.
  • Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas.
  • Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.
  • Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas in order to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Keep records on the use and/or damage of stock or stock handling equipment.
  • Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.
  • Provide assistance or direction to other stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard workers.
  • Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2+ years of warehouse or machine assembly line experience required.
  • Basic Plus and Site Specific certifications required.
  • Verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem-solving ability required.
  • Detail-oriented and a team player.

Nice-to-haves

  • ISTC - Basic Plus certification preferred.
