About the position

The Material Handler I position is responsible for managing the physical movement of materials, particularly Personal Protective Equipment, within the Branchburg, NJ site. This role involves inventory management, stocking, and ensuring that materials are available for internal order requests while adhering to safety and operational protocols.

Responsibilities

• Manage physical material movements from Shipping to Central Weigh warehouse while maintaining accurate inventory in SAP.
• Pick inventoried materials to fulfill internal order requests.
• Manage materials movements in support of weighing and dispensing activities.
• Maintain departmental stock rooms and keep labs stocked with necessary supplies.
• Prepare buffers as needed and perform direct production or testing activities as required.
• Monitor lab supply inventory and generate expense purchase requisitions when applicable.
• Input production data and maintain documentation in accordance with established procedures.
• Interface with internal groups to ensure laboratory equipment maintenance and calibration conform to established practices.
• Attend required training classes and participate in on-the-job training.
• Manage schedules, workload, and establish priorities based on business requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
• Less than 1 year of experience in warehousing and/or distribution.
• Experience in handling the receipt, storage, and disbursement of goods and materials.
• Valid driver's license depending on area of assignment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
