About the position
The Material Handler I position at REV Group, Inc. involves the movement, storage, and verification of materials in accordance with established policies and procedures. The role requires performing clerical duties, handling various shipping methods, and ensuring proper packing and documentation. The position is essential for supporting production requirements and maintaining warehouse organization while adhering to safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Handle a variety of shipping methods including proper shipping, scheduling, and arrangements for pickups.
- Perform proper packing, wrapping, and preparation of packages and documentation following established shipping procedures.
- Unload material from delivery vehicles, verify and receive material, and ensure proper storage of material.
- Pick material to support production requirements and deliver to specific locations or line-side storage.
- Perform clerical functions in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Conduct cycle counts and manage interplant transfers.
- Report material shortages and maintain warehouse organization following 5S principles.
- Process DMRs/Red Tags and order replacement parts.
- Follow work standards and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Effective communication skills, both written and oral
- Good math skills
- Forklift license (must be able to obtain an E-ONE-issued forklift license)
- Recordkeeping abilities
- Knowledge of and adherence to E-ONE safety practices
- Maintain Hazardous Waste Generator Certification as required
- Maintain HazMat DOT Certification every 3 years
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in warehouse operations
- Familiarity with MS Office (Word, Excel)
- Knowledge of BAAN software
