About the position

The Material Handler III role at Lonza in Houston, TX, is a full-time position within the Manufacturing division, focusing on materials management in a GMP environment. Responsibilities

• Receive incoming materials, verify shipment accuracy, inspect for damages, and ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Transport materials to designated storage areas using forklifts or pallet jacks, ensuring alignment with GMP requirements.
• Pick materials for production based on orders and deliver them to designated areas in a timely manner.
• Participate in regular cycle counts and physical inventories, investigating discrepancies and assisting in troubleshooting.
• Adhere to all GMP and safety protocols to maintain a compliant and safe work environment.
• Complete required documentation, including batch records and material handling forms, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GMP standards.

Requirements

• Entry-level experience in materials management or related field.
• Familiarity with GMP environments and safety protocols.
• Basic knowledge of inventory control processes and documentation practices.
• Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
