About the position
The Material Handler / Operator III at CEVA Logistics is responsible for performing various manual operations and operating equipment within a warehouse and logistics environment. This role involves receiving, identifying, storing, picking, and moving goods and materials, while also providing leadership and training to staff. The position requires a strong focus on safety, compliance with company policies, and excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Performs various manual operations and operates equipment in a warehouse and logistics process.
- Receives, identifies, stores, picks, and moves goods and material.
- Operates hand trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts, palletizers, and other equipment as required.
- Serves as a lead to staff and provides work direction.
- Performs the most complex operations and ensures employees are trained in all operational areas.
- Prioritizes and assigns work and provides work direction.
- Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequences.
- Completes or verifies appropriate forms, documents, labels, and other information to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Identifies potential operational or service concerns and assists with resolving them.
- Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and maintains a safe work environment.
- Assists with training and providing basic work instructions to new hires or transfers.
- Develops and maintains excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
- Receives, stores, and distributes material, tools, equipment, and products within assigned area.
- Prepares and assembles orders, picks and counts material, and moves and loads materials between operations or trucks.
- Performs various warehouse maintenance tasks.
Requirements
- Forklift Certification
- 5 years of logistics experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid Driver's License
- Experience in shipping and receiving
- Ability to operate power tools
