About the position

The Material Handler - Shipping/Receiving position at Heartland Label Printers involves managing the organization and movement of materials within the plant. The role focuses on ensuring safety, quality, and productivity while utilizing forklifts and RF scanners to handle inbound and outbound materials effectively. This entry-level position requires multitasking and proficiency in manufacturing computer programs to support inventory processes.

Responsibilities

• Assist with unloading and loading trailers.
• Review inbound deliveries and outbound orders to determine required dates and items.
• Complete verification of materials to ensure they are free of damage and correct in quantity.
• Utilize manufacturing programs to complete receiving and shipping transactions.
• Organize the warehouse using hand and powered lift trucks.
• Maintain inventory processes and ensure locational and quantitative accuracy.
• Assist the Materials Team as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1 year of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Mechanical aptitude is a must.
• Forklift certification preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of LEAN and/or Six Sigma processes is a plus.
