About the position
The Material Handler/Soil Packager position involves working in a warehouse environment, focusing on the packaging and handling of materials. This role is essential for maintaining the operations of a trusted company, requiring physical labor and the ability to work in various weather conditions. The position is seasonal, with the potential for extension, and emphasizes the importance of dependability and a strong work ethic.
Responsibilities
- Perform physical tasks for extended periods, including standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling, and twisting over surfaces.
- Lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Operate forklifts and handle materials safely and efficiently.
- Engage in order picking, shipping, receiving, and stocking activities.
- Work overtime and weekends as needed, up to 60 hours a week.
Requirements
- Must have at least 1 year of warehouse experience.
- Ability to work in a dusty environment and perform manual labor.
- Must have steel toe boots for safety.
- Ability to stand for 10 hours at a time.
