About the position

The Material Handler position involves performing entry-level tasks to support the movement, storage, and packaging of inventory in a distribution center. The role is essential for ensuring that orders are pulled, prepared for shipment, and accurately recorded, contributing to the overall efficiency of the warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

• Pulling orders and preparing them for shipment
• Using an RF scanner to pick orders
• Packing orders into boxes for shipping
• Loading and unloading different transport items
• Recording inventory statuses
• Ensuring deliveries properly match purchase orders
• Maintaining inventory by identifying, labeling, and keeping materials and supplies in stock
• Recording the location of inventory
• Reporting shortages
• Pulling orders from inventory
• Delivering production materials and supplies where needed
• Staging finished products for final distribution
• Handling and moving merchandise around the premises
• Managing the shipping and receiving of materials within a facility
• Using hand trucks, electric fork jacks, and forklifts to move items

Requirements

• Previous warehouse experience preferred
• Ability to lift 50 lbs or more
• Willingness to be flexible while the company is still in the start-up phase
• Comfortable standing in one spot for the entire shift
• Willingness to work in various locations throughout the distribution center

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in order pulling, shipping and receiving, picking, packing, and warehouse inventory management
• Accountability and attention to detail
• Ability to perform cycle counts
