Material Handler - Weekend Shift

About the position

The Material Handler at Generac Power Systems is responsible for managing material handling needs, primarily focusing on picking warehoused parts and delivering them to assembly areas to ensure efficient production. This role requires close collaboration with production lines to optimize the use of people, materials, and equipment to meet customer demand. The position operates on a weekend shift from Saturday to Monday, 5 am to 5 pm, and offers a competitive hourly wage with a shift premium.

Responsibilities

• Pick warehoused parts and deliver them to assembly areas.
• Ensure efficient production by working closely with production lines.
• Achieve company standards for safety, quality, and productivity.
• Maintain stock area and perform daily inspections of the forklift.
• Participate in team meetings and exchange job-related information.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 0-2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Ability to operate a forklift or other equipment to transport materials.
• Practice safe working habits and follow safety guidelines.
• Effective communication skills.
