About the position

The Material Handler position involves managing warehouse operations, including the shipment, requisition, and storage of materials, supplies, and equipment. The role requires overseeing inventory management, leading a clerical team, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations while supporting continuous improvement efforts within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Manage warehouse inventory and keep records of the inventory
• Lead clerical team of indirect support team members, including inventory, logistics, and planning
• Complete daily safety inspections
• Track down units with quality issues and provide recommendations for resolution
• Monitor yard trailer movement and radio communication
• Support continuous improvement efforts and recommend measures to improve production
• Partner with union leadership to quickly resolve issues and drive a high-performance culture
• Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures and safety rules and regulations
• Effectively manage hourly associates and achieve employee engagement objectives
• Use Cx tools to improve production processes and correct deficiencies as they occur
• Ensure EH&S standards and administrative procedures are followed
• Must be able to work all shifts in a 24-hour operation with weekend overtime as required

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 3+ years of experience managing or supervising in a warehousing, production, and/or planning environment
