Advanced Materials and Catalyst Technologies specializes in silica supports and catalysts, enabling the development of innovative technologies for sustainable products. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Materials Handler to join our team in the Catalyst Chemical Manufacturing industry. You will work closely with our production team to ensure that materials are available when needed and that inventory levels are maintained at optimal levels. Your attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities will be critical to your success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Unload and load freight-trailers or tanker trucks, drumming and packaging/labeling final products safely and environmentally sound.
  • Receive and unload raw material, packaging supplies, production materials, and maintenance supplies.
  • Stage fresh feed materials for the reactors and sample the materials, transferring the sample to the warehouse.
  • Transfer/drum sulfided material from the reactors and prepare it for shipping.
  • Stage and prep all materials for shipping, including labeling, stretch-wrapping, and banding.
  • Report and mitigate any leaks, exposures, accidents, spills, or fugitive emissions.
  • Perform inspections on all equipment and log the findings of those inspections.
  • Participate in HSEQ and Process Safety activities and initiatives.
  • Attend and contribute to regular monthly safety meetings and toolbox meetings.
  • Lead, support, promote, improve, and enforce compliance with all HS&E, corporate/plant/regulatory policies, procedures, performance standards, and ISO9001, RC14001 and Ecovyst Principles.

Requirements

  • One-year certificate from college or technical school; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
