The Material Handler position at Aerotek involves a variety of essential tasks related to the management of warehouse inventory. The primary responsibilities include receiving, storing, selecting, packing, and distributing materials within the warehouse. This role requires a strong physical capability to perform various tasks such as standing, walking, bending, twisting, stooping, reaching, climbing ladders, cutting wire, and lifting materials that can weigh up to 70 pounds. The Material Handler will also be responsible for unloading delivery vehicles, accurately identifying materials, breaking down materials, and noting any discrepancies in accordance with SAP processes, all while working under supervision. In addition to the physical demands, the Material Handler must be proficient in the hard skills necessary for the role, including receiving inventory, packing and shipping, material handling, and familiarity with SAP processes. The position is fully on-site, located in Sterling, Virginia, and operates on a Monday to Friday schedule from 10 AM to 7 PM. This is a contract-to-hire position, with an initial duration of three months, providing an opportunity for candidates to transition into a permanent role based on performance and business needs.
