About The Position

The Material Handler position at Altec involves receiving and delivering parts and materials within the Parts Warehouse in St. Joseph, Missouri. Requirements

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Material handling experience preferred.
• Forklift or picker experience preferred.
• Warehouse experience preferred.
• Computer skills, with bar-coding experience a plus.
• Ability to read and understand technical documents, such as engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Receive and deliver parts and materials to stocking areas.
• Pick, pack, and ship products to other departments, divisions, and customers.
• Provide quality and timely work on each job performed.
• Follow all established safety and quality policies and practices.
• Learn and follow all work instructions.
• Learn and operate all equipment within the department.
• Support APS initiatives - Lean Manufacturing.
• Rotate responsibilities as needed.
• Utilize computer programs, including Oracle database and Altec Navigator.
