About the position

The Material Handler at Valvoline Global is responsible for maintaining a safe and organized working environment while handling various warehouse tasks. This role involves loading and unloading materials, managing inventory through an ERP system, and ensuring accurate order fulfillment for shipping. The position requires effective communication with vendors and internal departments to facilitate smooth operations within the warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized working environment.
• Load and unload pallets and hand packs using a forklift.
• Lift up to 50lbs unassisted.
• Pick orders utilizing the inventory system and track materials in D365/ERP.
• Communicate with vendors, suppliers, other warehouses, drivers, and supervisors to ensure correct order picking for deliveries.
• Pull orders from the reporting system.
• Perform housekeeping and miscellaneous jobs around the warehouse.
• Inbound inventory into the ERP system, including counts, transfers, and outbound.
• Prepare inventory for shipping, including installing software on tablets and configuring devices for use.
• Handle warehouse backup duties for the warehouse manager.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Valvoline.

Requirements

• Ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently.
• Experience with inventory management systems, preferably D365/ERP.
• Strong communication skills to interact with vendors and internal teams.
• Ability to lift and move materials up to 50lbs unassisted.
• Attention to detail for accurate order picking and inventory tracking.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role.
• Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes.
• Basic computer skills for inventory management.
