About the position
The Material Handler - Logistics Associate at Irby Utilities plays a crucial role in enhancing the efficiency and productivity of the logistics operations. This position involves independently managing the loading, unloading, and movement of materials, utilizing various equipment and technologies to ensure accurate order fulfillment and effective inventory management while adhering to safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Load, unload, and move materials within or near the work site.
- Utilize RF devices to fill orders and issue materials and supplies as requested.
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, or dollies.
- Pack and ship customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Champion effective inventory management practices.
- Adhere to and promote safety and security policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate exceptional reliability while maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
Requirements
- Ability to reach, bend, and lift/push packages that weigh up to 50 lbs.
- Attention to detail and good time management skills.
- Ability to work full time, 40 hours per week.
