About the position

The Material Handler position at Aerotek involves performing entry-level tasks to support inventory movement, storage, and packaging within a climate-controlled distribution center. The role includes responsibilities such as pulling orders, preparing shipments, and maintaining inventory accuracy, with a focus on flexibility and teamwork in a start-up environment.

Responsibilities

• Pull orders and prepare them for shipment.
• Use an RF scanner to pick up orders.
• Pack orders into boxes for shipping.
• Load and unload different transport items.
• Record inventory statuses.
• Ensure deliveries properly match purchase orders.
• Maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and keeping materials and supplies in stock.
• Record the location of inventory.
• Report shortages.
• Pull orders from inventory.
• Deliver production materials and supplies where needed.
• Stage finished products for final distribution.
• Handle and move merchandise around the premises.
• Manage the shipping and receiving of materials within a facility.
• Use hand trucks, electric fork jacks, and forklifts to move materials.

Requirements

• Must be able to lift 50lbs+.
• Must be willing to be flexible while the company is still in the start-up phase.
• Must be comfortable standing in one spot for the entire shift.
• Must be willing to work in various locations throughout the distribution center.
