The Materials Handling and Distribution Worker at HealthPartners plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of the Materials Management Warehouse. This position is centered around service excellence, particularly in patient care and relationships, which is a responsibility shared by all employees. Teamwork is emphasized, and all employees are expected to work effectively as part of a team. The primary responsibilities include the recording and processing of incoming and outgoing merchandise, filling supply orders, and the safe delivery of supplies, mail, specimens, and other materials to designated sites. The worker will be responsible for driving vehicles to deliver items, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and efficient delivery schedules. In this role, the worker will document the receipt of all merchandise, report any damages or discrepancies, and maintain accurate receiving logs. They will check merchandise against packing lists and purchase orders, prepare items for distribution, and complete necessary shipping documents. The worker will also handle returns from clinics and prepare items for credit returns to vendors. Additionally, they will load and unload items, sort and deliver various materials, and maintain the security of the vehicle and its contents during all operations. The position requires a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work area, operating and maintaining materials handling equipment, and participating in periodic physical inventory counts. The worker must comply with record-keeping requirements and promptly respond to any traffic or driving hazards encountered during deliveries.
