The Material Handling Equipment (MHE) Asset Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the management of over 8,000 MHE assets throughout their life cycle. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate information management within the TMT system, resolving issues in collaboration with field operations, and creating and managing ongoing tracking reports and databases. The MHE Asset Manager will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure optimal utilization of MHE assets, aiming to minimize total cost of ownership while maximizing value for the company. This role requires a proactive approach to asset management, including the development and implementation of utilization management programs, monthly reviews of underperforming assets, and the redeployment of MHE units as necessary. In addition to managing the life cycle of MHE units, the MHE Asset Manager will interact with suppliers, internal engineers, and operations teams to determine the appropriate MHE for new start-ups and changes in business operations. The position also involves managing the relocation of assets between distribution centers, verifying information for units entered into the TMT system, and conducting monthly reconciliations of MHE asset inventories. The MHE Asset Manager will oversee all internal and external rental needs for the company, assist in finding rentals when required, and manage the internal MHE rental profit and loss (P&L). The role requires maintaining and updating various weekly and monthly reports, reviewing and investigating abnormalities found in these reports, and setting up and conducting annual asset reviews with operations. The MHE Asset Manager will coordinate follow-ups from these reviews, create annual MHE replacement orders, and manage the sale of excess company MHE. This position may also involve working on special projects or other assignments as requested by management.
