About the position

The Material Movement Coordinator at Alcon is responsible for managing the movement of materials within the warehouse, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in receiving, inspecting, and shipping goods. This role requires strong technical skills and the ability to operate various warehouse equipment, contributing to the overall logistics and supply chain operations in Houston, TX.

Responsibilities

• Receiving and inspecting goods and verifying items against the shipment record.
• Gathering, verifying, and packing items for shipment according to specifications and the applicable transportation method.
• Recording received and shipped items.
• Performing critical thinking and directing work to achieve business needs, including training and filling in as needed.
• Operating and being certified on all Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) such as swing reach, order picker, counterbalance, reach truck, and rider jack.
• Identifying needs and assisting in the direction of work as needed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in warehousing, logistics, transportation, and receiving is highly preferred.
