About the position

The Material Planner III role at Iron Systems is crucial for ensuring the timely delivery of materials to manufacturing partners, which supports the delivery of compute, storage, and AI infrastructure to data centers and warehouses. This position involves managing the flow of materials, optimizing supply chain processes, and maintaining strong relationships with both internal stakeholders and external partners. The role requires a dynamic approach to problem-solving and collaboration across various teams to achieve operational success and drive performance improvements in the supply chain.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with ODMs and Supply and Demand planning to maintain accurate subcomponent material supply data.
  • Drive MRP readiness with ODMs and mitigate risks associated with material shortages and supply chain disruptions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, ODM partners, and suppliers.
  • Proactively analyze data to drive supply chain processes and tools for materials management strategies.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve materials management processes using data analytics and best practices.
  • Assist in the development and tracking of KPIs for material planning and supply chain optimization.
  • Demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Analyze and interpret demand and supply reports, as well as MRP reports, for informed decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in procurement, operations, or supply chain management, preferably in the technology industry.
  • Ability to analyze complex data sets and inform strategic decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Nice-to-haves

  • Interest or previous exposure to computer manufacturing, production, and configuration.
  • Ability to understand terminology and configuration components within the hardware domain.
  • Experience interfacing with internal and external partners in a cross-functional environment.
